Visual Modifications


Themes

Removed all default themes.
Noia theme Black is available for use. This is also set as the default theme.
Nokia theme White is available for use.
Noia theme Orange 3.0 is available for use.
Theme effects used is Discord 2 by Kcube989.
It's Quicken's personalized version as it has an app loading effect.
Theme effects are set to off by default. If you'd like to see the nice Transition and Rotation effects, you'd have to set them on. Go to Settings>Themes>General>Options>Theme effects>On.


Removed Pop-Up Fading Effect

The Pop-Up Fading Effect when opening options has been removed.
The Graphics Rendering Engine is not optimized for the effect so it's very slow.


User Interface

Default frame rate increased to 30 frames per second.
Removed limitation on cache size when rendering graphics.
Graphics rendering can achieve 100% usage from the CPU.
Graphics complexity reduced to minimum to increase speed. You won't notice the difference in aesthetics but you will see a great improvement on speed.

In-Built Browser Modifications

Moved the default Browser Cache to the Memory Card for faster read/write times. This will split the load between the Phone Memory, processing the System Files and other file operations and the Memory Card, reading and writing the cache of the browser.
In-Built Browser is now capable of resuming downloads upon crashing.
User Agent of the browser changed to the one of the Nokia N97. This will make OVI Store and the default browser think you are using an N97. You will be able to download more applications from the OVI Store.


Removed FOTA's Reserved Space

The C6 Firmware for Nokia 5800 cannot be updated through Nokia Software Updater/OVI Suite or FOTA (Firmware Over The Air).
The Firmware Over The Air Updating Platform creates a 4.7 MB reserve file on the Phone Memory to be used for updating the firmware. This has been removed.


N8 Kinetic Scrolling

Thanks to Hidden Identity for the idea.
Kinetic Scrolling has been improved a lot. It is now smoother and more practical.

2 "New Email" Options Fixed

Send Any File Using In-Built File Manager

You may now be able to send ".sis,.sisx, java, etc." files using Nokia's File Manager.


WiFi Scanning Interval Increased

There is a 60000000 microsecond delay between searches that the Integrated Access Point (WiFi Chip) scans for available connections.
The delay has been reduced to half, 30000000 microseconds.


5800 XM Transformation Pack

Thanks to DDS for the mod.
I modded it a bit to reflect proper Quicken versioning.
I removed the User Agent that came with the original mod as Quicken are already using a N97 User Agent.
Your PC will install 5800 Drivers, However, OVI Suite will still recognize it as a Nokia C6.
If it does not reinstall the drivers after updating from a previous version of Quicken, it's fine. It will still use the C6 Drivers with no issues.

Scriptinit.txt Fix

prakashkaran noticed that the default scriptinit.txt, a file that denotes which files to copy to phone memory and memory card on a hard reset, was copying some default image files to C:\. I removed this as There no use for them.


Remove "Check For Updates" In Software Updates

When entering Device Updates from your Phone, it still shows "Check for Updates".
This has been removed to prevent users from accidentally trying to update which causes a bricked device.

Physical Care Tips (Hardware) Mobile Model Touch Screen / Touchscreen

Today I will give you a few tips from my own experience about how to care for a touchscreen mobile phone model since I use this model phone with the use of more than 1 year and remains smooth and silky 90%. Okay, here I give a little tutorial how to change the font on s60v5 series phone using Fontrouter applications. Why should use Fontrouter? Because this application is very easy to use, features and application of many fonts is very easy. But why still there is trouble use this application? Maybe I load fonts that do not understand and also need to restart the phone to change those fonts. Actually a lot of applications that provide services such as Flipfont Dll replacement font, there is also a method of Copas but less efficient because they can not change the font size and complicated to change font-menggonta another. So I suggest really use Fontrouter (not a promo lho ..) For those who do not have Fontrouter can be downloaded HERE and the font can be downloaded HERE.



Just click "FontLocation"



then select "Options" select "Open Font"



Find a font where you saved the font types. Putting up where but if you can in the main folder so that search easier.



Select the font you want to replace the original font. I am here using the font from the writings of the Android model:)



Then I changed to 80 because ZoomRatio to decrease the font size looked big and not let the pile-pile.
